iPhone 3GS VS Nokia N97: A Detailed Comparison

June was a huge month for smartphones. Apple released their new iphone 3GS and Nokia began shipping their N97 to the North America. Both phones are GSM models and therefore compete with each other in the eyes of the consumer. From price to features, the app store to the camera this video highlights the differences between the two devices allowing you to decide which phone is right for you. Just a heads up, in terms of voice quality the phones both are very good and therefore didn’t merit a mention in the video. iphone it´s just for kids, while n97 it´s for bussiness men (the iphone it’s popular among young people), as phone, even camera Nokia it’s better… to Browsing the web it´s better the iphone, but honestly I prefer use my lap top.

seems nokia 97 is more versatile for me. its kinda small e-office i could carry in my pocket and do my work/study on go. but the only choice i get in korea is between samsung ( i think they’re crappy), SonyEricson X1, I Phone. no n97

your mom have the right phone in mind.n97 is now cheaper than the 3gs. you can buy n97 and ipod touch for less or the same price as a single 3gs in our country. combine those two against the 3gs and 3gs is shit!!!

right mate. i have ipod touch and n97 and even if you combine both of its price here in the philippines the 3gs still cost more.Thats why i dont recommend the iphone…

ive had the N97 for several months, im on my third. BIGGEST HEAP EVER. 32 gb, sure sounds good dont it?, put about 2gb and your phone is so slow its not worth using i usually use my girlfriends SAMSUNG TOCCO!!! instead as its faster then my super phone.

Can you run a sega genesis emulator like picodrive on the iPhone and load up 300 game roms for free like you can with the Nokia N97? I didn’t think so…
The N97 also has a full keyboard and direction pad for games. Touchscreen games on the iPhone are useless

first up, n97 is really slower. n97 only uses half of its cpu to proccess its apps.dont know y. no matter what we all say we cant change the fact that 3gs is faster.but what i’m tring to say is if its comparing the phones full capabilities n97 wins against the 3gs.
1.you dont need to hack the n97 for it to be a multimedia phone.
2.n97 have better :
Camera,flash
Battery
resolution
multimedia content
etc.
3.connectivity.
iphone cant do most of that without jailbreak right?
so who wins then?

3GS u wont regret it
the n97 will make u bored for the first few weeks it might b ok but after than ull b bored

i have n97 as well nokia n97 has a bad music player its not like the internet is faster as well iphone 3gs has alot faster internet and iphone doenst lag unlike the n97 (i own 1) and the apps r very bad on the n97 if u think about it iphone has very good apps and u can even jaibreak ur iphone to get even better games and themes and extra spring boards
